Unlike Bush, I don't claim to be on a divinely appointed mission. And unlike him, I tell the truth.

A Publicity-Driven Phony & His Greed-Driven Miracle
I suppose Rick Warren was feeling a little neglected. During the Christmas holiday, people were beginning to think more about Jesus than about him. That seems the only rational explanation for why he felt compelled to dash out a letter, just a few days after Christmas, proclaiming that “THIS IS AN URGENT LETTER unlike any I’ve written in 30 years … Please read all of it and get back to me in the next 48 hours!”
So what was the cause of this unprecedented emergency – more urgent than anything that’s happened over the last 30 years? Had terrorists struck the homeland once again? Apparently, that was small potatoes next to what was bugging Warren. What had him in such a lather was that he’d just got through counting Sunday’s collection plate, and he was shocked … yes, SHOCKED … to discover that his congregation was holding out on him … to the tune of 900 thousand bucks!
The way Warren explained it, Christmas had the audacity to fall on a Friday - without ever consulting his accountants. He claimed that “many people were out of town or too tired to come back for weekend services, so the unusually low attendance created an unusually low offering.” (Either that, or listening to him rehash his book every other day was more than most folks could take. Or afford.)
We’ll probably never know the real story because the SaddlebackChurch’s receipts and expenses are a closely guarded secret. What we do know is that Christmas has fallen near to (or directly on) Sunday before, and it’s difficult to imagine that after holding scores of services over Christmas week, that Warren raked in less than in previous weeks.
We also know that he’s expanded his SaddlebackChurch to five different “campuses” that he personally oversees and controls. Calvary Chapel and The Vineyard are two other successful evangelical churches that started out locally in OrangeCounty, and then expanded into many other, independently-run franchises. But Warren is a control freak, out to build an empire modeled more along the lines of the Roman Catholic Church. Can you say - Pope Rick the First? And as we’ve seen in Iraq and Afghanistan, an empire can become a very difficult (and costly) thing to manage.
Fortunately, Warren’s urgent appeal for more cash worked – and then some. And really, who ever doubted that it would? When it comes to religion, guilt has always been a much more potent fund-raiser than love. Warren has also declared it to be the latest Christmas “miracle,” which would make Rick Warren a ‘miracle worker’ far superior to Jesus Christ. Forget about turning a couple fishes into more smelly fishes; Rick Warren has just turned a $900 thousand dollar deficit into a $2 million dollar surplus. And realistically speaking - in a country where money means everything - how could you possibly be more of a savior than that?
If Mr. Bush was the AC (which I do believe he was) then Rick Warren is the tail of the lizard that got cut off and is still wriggling for a time. The lizard escaped to the wilderness and is busy regenerating the lost appendage. At least Rick is the least offensive part of the animal. Now that the cowboy is done, the AC (spirit) is scouting for new talent. I have my money on Palin as the last desperate gasp. Big religion has become powerless, and only works now to further soften up the already soft minds of the followers. There is no geopolitical power in churches anymore, so they are now relegated to realm of propaganda warfare, making sure there is enough hate disguised as Christian love to keep the war machine well oiled. The same thing happens on the Muslim side, just with less articulate and sophisticated verbal and machine technology. Rick is fortunate to have millions of sugar daddies at the ready with money in hand to pass his way now that the dark superstars Roberts and Falwell have gone to Hell. He averted financial bankruptcy for now, let's see how well he avoids spiritual bankruptcy.
The evangelicals are far from finished, just the mortgage crisis has not finished unwinding. The dollar will continue to fall as the US economy lacks production. As the dollar falls the economy of the whole world descends into a period of instability as nations grasp for a new international currency.
Iran and Israel are headed for a nuclear showdown, and there doesn’t seem to be any possibility of turning back.
Perhaps it will be this year, perhaps not, but things will get much worse in the near future. This is not pessimism, this is reality. This is taking off the rose colored glasses and seeing the condition the world is really in, and not what we want to see. If we had looked at the world in a realistic manner years ago maybe we could have solved some of these problems, but now it is really too late. Now we can hear the ticking if we only listen.
As economic and political conditions deteriorate, the evangelicals have the communication resources to convince many people that this is the tribulation, and they are the true followers of Christ and the only sanctuary from the hard times.
This is the real “antichrist” since the word “antichrist” is never used in the Bible to describe a political leader. “Antichrist” is used to describe a false religion in the end times. The evangelicals do seem to be this false religion called “antichrist”. In Revelation, the people refuse to turn from their wickedness even through great suffering. This sounds a bit hard to believe, unless the people are trying to turn from their wickedness, but the religion they turn to is itself wicked and antichrist.
It was Reagan and Dubya and their evangelical (antichrist) followers who got us into much of the mess we’re in, but this is not surprising. They won’t be blamed for what is coming since they are not in charge anymore.
The evangelicals will be back, and much stronger than they ever were.
Done...I do not share your pessimism (even if you do call it reality), the world is in the situation it is in because there are some very necessary changes coming. David slew Giliath not by aiming at his helmet or his breastplate, but by targeting his weakness, his exposed temple. The biggest threat to our future is not rogue evangelicans, though they are part of the deception, but the massive military maintained by the US. It has little point to attack this colossus by confronting it through equal might, as that would be suicide. The might of the Pentagon rests on a financial base, which is it's weakness. Unfortunately, eroding that base means everyone will suffer temporarily...(cont.)
...(cont.) ..because the Banks that finance this mess have to be overturned. They have made it a business to supply the mega millions needed to keep this horror show alive. Be grateful it is being dismantled in such a slow and controlled peaceful manner. The alternative would be total and devastating war. Iran is finished also, there will be a revolution shortly that will replace the entire bunch of religious nutcases there soon. The people there are fed up. God is with us, have some faith.
The apostles believed the end was coming in their time, and they were wrong. Christ said that no one knew when the end would come so the apostles were not given that information. The fact that they were wrong concerning something they were not given knowledge does not mean they were wrong concerning matters of which they were given knowledge. So, it is not a rejection of faith or a rejection of the Bible to admit that the apostles were wrong on this one issue. Christ told the apostles to watch for signs of the end, so they were doing what they were told to do.
We too can get it wrong, but the fact that Christ hasn’t returned yet doesn’t mean that He never will. The fact that there have been many false predictions of the end doesn’t mean the world will never end. No number of false predictions actually provide any evidence that Christ will never return.
What’s frustrating and ominous is that there is a growing preterism movement at a time when prophecies are being fulfilled like never before. Evangelicals reject Mayan and Hopi prophecies since they view these people as “infidels” who would not be given any information from God, and this seems to be one thing on which the evangelicals and the preterists agree.
The book of Revelation is also being fulfilled in modern time, and it is being fulfilled with remarkable precision. It just isn’t being fulfilled according to the evangelical interpretation. The evangelicals believe that many of the various prophecies are talking about a single individual called the “antichrist”. Reagan is rejected as the antichrist since he didn’t fulfill all the various prophecies that are claimed to be tied together. Reagan did fulfill the prophecies of the first beast of Revelation with complete precision, and Bush fulfilled the prophecy of the second beast with complete precision. No one has ever fulfilled these prophecies, and Nero didn’t even come all that close.
So what if the destruction didn’t come under Bush, it didn’t begin under Reagan either. Reagan and Bush could be nothing more than road markers…leaders who set things in place for Armageddon. There is no antichrist in the sense that there is no single political leader who causes all the destruction. Since the end doesn’t come from some evil person called the antichrist, it isn’t clear how things will play out or when it will get started, but too many prophecies have been fulfilled with too much precision for it to not be taken seriously. Even the evangelicals don’t realize how many prophecies have already been fulfilled as they continue to wait for the nonexistent antichrist to appear.
Our problem is we don’t know what is going to happen in the future. Trying to read the prophecies to predict the future is a waste of time, but yet we do this. We reach a conclusion about what is going to happen based on the prophecies and when it doesn’t happen like we thought it would, we blame the prophecies. We should only look to the prophecies to see what has been fulfilled in order to know that something is coming, but we should not use this knowledge to establish a firm and unwavering belief about “what” is coming or “when” it is coming. Christ talked about looking at signs to know that summer is coming, but He didn’t say we know “when” summer will arrive through the signs.
The fact that Biblical and other prophecies are being fulfilled has led to a lot of people telling us precisely what is coming and when it is coming. Every time one of these predictions is wrong it causes more people to blame or lose confidence in the prophecies themselves as opposed to blaming the person who made the false prediction. This process has continued and more people lose confidence in the prophecies every year even while the prophecies continue to be fulfilled.
It has come to the point where the evangelicals are almost the only ones who really believe in the prophecies, yet they believe in a twisted version of prophecy where they get raptured to the heavens to sit in recliners and watch the rest of humanity suffer in great torment. This view of Armageddon also tends to discredit the prophecies even though this is only the evangelical interpretation. The prophecies should not be blamed for date setters and others who misinterpret them.
The evangelicals can’t see how Reagan fulfilled numerous prophecies with remarkable precision since they liked Reagan. They can’t see how George W fulfilled numerous prophecies since they liked him too. When we look at all the prophecies that have been fulfilled in modern time, we should realize that this is only the tip of the iceberg. Much of the fulfillment of prophecy has gone unnoticed even by the evangelicals.
The mean spirited evangelical view of Armageddon and the false date setter don’t change the fact that much of the book of Revelation has already been fulfilled and it is being fulfilled in modern times. We don’t know “when” it is coming, and we don’t know exactly “what” is coming, but yes it is coming. We must avoid establishing firm beliefs about what is coming since it causes us to lose faith if we get it wrong, and we are probably going to get it wrong, or at least not exactly right.
The prophecies describe an event that will occur on this planet probably during our lifetime, how this event plays out is not exactly known. The description of this event is patterned after similar events that have taken place on other worlds, but modified to take into account the trend lines peculiar to the earth. Due to our warlike nature this presented a destructive climax to this process, though nothing should be construed as carved in stone. The truth is, the entire sequence of events is totally under our control through the agency of our thoughts and desires as a complex humanity. If we decide we do not want it to end in a ball of fire then we can change the outcome by projecting thoughts of peace and harmony. On the other hand, clinging to a literal interpretation actually assists in making the prophecies self fullfilling. If the entire planet were to dwell on the idea of an Armageddon, this in itself would bring it about. That is why fundamentalist belief systems emphasize these doom scenarios, because they are under the total domination of the dark forces, who have many reasons to wish for such an outcome. They even enlist the services of W to start wars, convincing him that he is defeating Gog and Magog. By creating havoc, the planet is maintained in a permanent state of turmoil, and the truth is delayed. Part of this deception is to promise that Christ will return and fix everything, in warrior mode. This is not going to happen like that, Christ is already here, together with many to assist him in vaste numbers. They are here to assist only, we must do the work ourselves, as the event itself has an automatic aspect to it, and those that are unprepared will simply fall away, while those that are prepared will advance (ascend). What needs to be understood is this is a natural event that involes the entire planet and everything on it, plants, animals, humans and discarnate spirits, and the physical planet as well. The event itself cannot be avoided, but can be accelerated and modified to be much more gentle, or we can fight it and have wars and conflicts and even madness to cope with.
Fortunately, there are already millions (in human form) who have grasped what is happening and are taking the bull by the horns and are directing this change from the higher mental and physical planes, and are assisted by many advanced beings who have made the long voyage to our planet to participate in our upliftment. They have already advanced to the point we are destined to reach soon, and are permitted to offer us the benefit of their knowledge. However, until there is official recognition of their existence and presence among us they have been commanded to remain invisible to our physical senses. In this way they are able to determine who amongst us humans is truly aware and conscious, and work with them until the time for disclosure is inevitable. If we are unable to reach the point of understanding, the changes will occur regardless, and complete mayhem could result due to the limited knowledge the average human has of the greater multidimensional realities. They wish to avoid such a calamitous entrance into our world, and prefer us to educate ourselves about our true place in this universe. All churches are currently working to defeat this contact mission, because they are all agents of dark off-world civilizations that would be expelled from the earth if the truth were known. These dark lords have been engaged in an attempted invasion of this planet for many centuries, and almost suceeded with the military might of the US, coupled with the rightwing evangelican movements and the republican party.
